Few weeks ago, almost all the students in my ESL class had a very nice dinner together. We met in Liang, Pan, and Sheng Chen's house.
I arrived there at about five o'clock, and Jin and Yan were already there. Liang, Pan, and Sheng Chen's house was very nice, and big enough for giving a dinner party. They started to cook before I arrived. And it smelled very good! About six thirty, all the vistors arrived. Wow, such a big group of people: Megail,Tom, Hieu,Nancy,Anny,Alex,and so on.
Sheng Chen was the chief cook. She was so amazing! All the food were sooooooooo nice! We had Chicken, fish, beef, and even hot pot! I almost can't talk during the dinner, because there were too many food in my mouth so that i don't have any space for my tongue to talk! Everybody was so happy at the dinner. They talked, they laughed.
After the dinner, we played a game called "True or There". I think that everybody should know this intertesing game, dont we? I think the most funny moment was in this period. We sit like a circle, and picked up our own cards to find out who was the smallest. And the loser had to answer a question or follow an order. I was so lucky that day so i didnt pick up by anyboday, and even i became the king few times. It was a really great night.
Through this party, I think all the students in our ESL class became much closer. And our friendship became more intertesting.

Rewrites~.
Omg.I'm in a very big trouble right now. I forgot to write my blog for the past six weeks! And i didn't even konw it until today! That is very horrible. I need to a very hard work on it.
I just passed the Mid-term Exam for my other three classes: Econmics, Business Law, and Management. The only thing I can talk about it's that i tried my best. Now is my second semester in St. John's university. However, i didn't have a regular class for last semester for reasoning, so this semester is very hard and new to me. Business Law is the hardest class to me. There are too many vocabulaies I have never heart of it and even the teacher thought the knowledges he talked about was common sense to everyone but in fact not to me. Because i come from another country and everything is new to me. I spent a lot of time on reading the chapters and notes i hardly took in the classes. i spent almost all the time on this subject for the past two weeks. After the teacher gave back the test. I was very upset. Becasue although i tried my best to prepare for the test. I only got sixty on it. It was very hard to distribute my feelings at that moment. I felt like i can't do anything well. However, tomy suprised, the Professior said that most people got a low grade on the test, and it might cause by his teaching, so everyone got an extra five credit on the test. "I passed!" this is the only mind in my head after he said. So lucky and so happy. The feelings is like you are lost in the hell and suddenly you find out there is a way to the Heaven.
I talked to my advior few days ago. I told him about this story and he suggested me that I should keep working hard on it. I want to know if there is anyone who took Business Law last semester and have the notes that can help me?

We read an article about friends in class. I have a lot of comments with it.
I want to decribe about true friends and fake friends. People making friends during their commnication. And it is very hard to know what kinds of friends you were making. I make two defenitions for these two kind of friends: first, friends that only shared your happiness and avoid get into trouble withh you are fake friends; second, friends that like to help you and shared your sadness as they like to shard your happiness are your true friends.
Frienship is a very importand part of everyone's life. My father told me that true friends don't need that much, but if you have one already, you are lucky. A true friends always gives you the silent support. They never ask you pay back for anything. We had a very famous story about true friends. Long time ago, once the father told his son that he only had one and an half friend in his life. His son was so confused and he took his son to visit his friends and he wanted to show why he only have one and a half friends. In the half friend's house, he told his friend that his son which who was standing with him was going to jail for some reasons, his friend didnt say anything. His half friend came back into the room and came out gave him a bag of gold. His friends said:"this is all I have, you must hurry to use it to make your son safe or bring him escape." and his son knew that the half friend family was very poor and still gave all the money to his father. In the one friend house, he told his friend the same thing, this time his friend didn't gave him anything. His friend ask them to sit down,and yelled at one of his son:"You! Now go to the police office!Tell them that you are the murder!"
Therefore, friends are easy to make, but true friends are very hard to find.

Few days ago, we talked about culture and immgrants in class.
Culture has important meanings to everyone today as a part of people’s life and a part of our society. With different culture background, different people get their different ways of living. Even in the same culture and the same society, there could be many identities. Today, in a county, you can easily find the cultures of the rest of the world. People take the different identities from many different original cultures and add them to their own culture. There will be billions of different combinations. In this way, there are many now cultures coming out. But it is still under a particular macro culture.
The best example is New York. As everyone knows, New York is an immigration city; there are so many different cultural groups. Different color of skin, different languages, different food and different styles…so many more are adding to the original culture everyday. People make up their own cultural identities as they like with those above. For myself, I am from Asia. As an international student in New York, in one hand I try to learn as much as I can from the other cultures to find my own culture identity of America; in the other hand, I still proud of my original culture. In a word, there can be many different identities within a particular culture.

Now let me post the blog I have been writen during my spring break.
I read a newpaper said that New York pasted the "homosexuality" law. Few years ago, the term "homosexuality" is a very strange and unacceptable words in the world. In China, because of our traditional culure, it was much more unacceptable than other country. We can't image that the action which described the people with same-sex attraction. We thought it was guilty and evil. However, this term is not stange to people any more. With homosexuality increased, dozens of debates about homosexuality are in religion, politics, and even courtrooms were raised by contemporary and at the same time.
To my opinion, I don't like "homosexual", but it doesn't mean I reject it. I think that people have the right to choose what kind of life will they have and it really doesn't matter that having love with same sexual people. My parents very reject this kind of new "stuff", they think they will never accept it. However, nowaday in China, more and more "homosexualities" occurs and they start to change people's mind in China, they tried to make it to be acceptable for most of the Chineses. I think that it won't happen unless in fifty years.

Finally my internet has been set up. It really took me a long time for waiting. The TimeWarner Cable Company said that they would come to my house on Last Wednesday. However, after the installer came, he found out that there was a big problem that can't fit the cable for some proferrsionor reason. Therefore, I waited and waited until Saturday.
On Saturday, they said they fixed the problem, and then when I hurry to posted my blog, I found out that the internet was off and it didn't work at all! Omg, I was so mad at that moment, because I paid a lot to install that cable internet and the service made me very unhappy! I called the service and they said they will come on Monday! Because there was no people work on Sunday! Finally, it took my like about total ten days to waited the internet.
I was not lucky these days. I made an appointment for my rewrite in the writing center on last Friday, but becasue of the snow, school was closed that day. Therefore, the plan was changed and I didn't have time to have an appointment on Monday. That means I can't give the paper to the professor. I think i might going to have a trouble with it.
I was so black luck, wasn't I?

Warning! I missed too many homework right now!

In Febrayary, it was very important to all the Chinese. Because it was Chineses New Year. Chinese New Year has the same meaning to Chinese as Chritmas to Americans. We also have a special day as Christmas Eve. For our traditional culuture, all the family members have to go home and have dinner together. After dinner we should sit together talk to each other or watch TV. Usually we passed the 12'oclock togther too.
In addtion, there are also few steps we have to follow for the New Year. On the first day of the New Year, the first sentence you tell others must be sentences as "Happy New Year!." or " I wish you good luck in the coming year." Children ususaly get a red pocket within money from adults. It isn't only means gift, it's a symbol of lucky. Adults usually bring their children to their grandparents' house to spend whole day. In tradional convention, we don't eat meat at the first day. And since the first day of the New Year, we usually go to people's house for visiting, bring gifts and wishes with us for one week.
For a very traditional story, the reason why we like to play firecrackers during the New Year is to defend a monster. In the story, it tells about that many years ago, the monster woke up and try to destroy the happiness from the people every New Year, because it means evil and selftish. For prevent its attack, people used firecreackers to scared it away from their houses. Therefore, this convention still been using today.
I didn't go to anywhere this New year, because all of my families are in China now, and i have been missed three years New Year celebration with them. I missed them a lot and i wish them have a good New Year.

Last week we talked about the siblings-brothers or sisters-in the class. I got a lot of thinking about it.
I'm the only child in my family. In many ways i didn't have any idea what my life will be if i have a brother or sister. People usually talk about that brother or sister always frightened. However, it seems very interested to me. I would really like to try to have a brother or a sister. If is younger than me, i must be take care of him(she) very well. I would give him(her) my best i can to protect her, and always try to be a bigggggggg brother! If is older than me, seriously, i don't want this to be happened :P, because i already passed the period that wants feel safe and under protection lol. Sometimes i really sit there and just think about how is brotherhood works. I really want to know about how to live with someone who was born from the same place as i did. If we have the same blood will we still can make friends? Or what kind of relationship should we have? Anyway, this feelings really seem to attractive to me. :)
